Retraining courses for the staff of prosecutors has started

The first courses of professional retraining of prosecutors on the topic: “Legal and practical issues of the participation of the prosecutor in the criminal process” have started.

Training will take place at the Centre for Law Enforcement Services by using all its technical capabilities and resources.

The courses are organized as part of the implementation of constitutional and other legislative changes that have given prosecutors new important powers.

Director of the 1st Institute of the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies Nurlan Daniiev noted the importance of the ongoing transformations in the system of the Prosecutor’s Office, which returned the functions of procedural supervision and prosecution.

The main goal of the courses is the formation of profound professional knowledge and skills necessary for supervision and representation of the state interests in criminal proceedings.

The training will last 10 working days and includes the mastering of three important training modules – “Implementation of criminal law in the activities of the prosecutor”; “The activity of the prosecutor in the pre-trial stage of the criminal process” and “Maintaining public prosecution in court”.

On the example of specific case problems, lecturers – representatives of the scientific community and experienced employees of the prosecutor’s office will bring to the listeners the main aspects of practical activity.

In total, 221 employees of the Prosecutor’s Office will be trained.
