The 19th meeting of the Coordinating Council of the Heads of Tax and Financial Investigations of the CIS Member States was held in Kazan.
One of the important issues on the agenda of the meeting was the discussion of Kazakhstan’s initiative on giving the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies the status of the basic organization of education in the training and retraining of personnel of financial investigation bodies of the CIS member states.
Speaking from the forum’s rostrum, the head of the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies under the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nail Akhmetzakirov, spoke about the work of Kazakhstan’s authorized bodies in the field of investigating financial crimes, the main directions of scientific and educational activities and the prospects for the development of the institution. He shared his experience of training law enforcement officers of foreign countries, implementing unique projects.
The proposal of the Kazakh side was supported by the overwhelming majority of the members of the Coordination Council.
The final decision will be taken by the Council of Foreign Ministers next year.
