Prosecutors tried on the role of journalists and bloggers.
Prosecutors in the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies under the General Prosecutor’s Office learned about what “trolling” means, how to get out of conflict situations, how to write sharp articles. They took courses on the topic: “Effective interaction of Kazakhstan’s law enforcement system with the media and social networks”.
The event was organized with the OSCE Office of Programs in Astana.
Counsellor for Political Affairs of the OSCE Program Office in Astana, Colin McCullough, stressed the urgency of holding a seminar in the context of globalization and the information development of society.
The courses are organized in order to increase the level of public confidence in the prosecution authorities through strengthening the effectiveness of the press services and ensuring information openness.
The seminar was attended by employees of regional and equal prosecutors’ offices.
Speakers were well-known journalists and leading experts in the field of public relations.
The training covers such topics as the practice of commenting on criminal chronicles, establishing contacts with the interlocutor, tools for effective communication.
Also, questions of the nature of the relationship between law enforcement agencies and the media, the activities of the modern press service, the improvement of professional skills in image work, and the characteristics of a survey of social networks were analysed.
In the end, the participants of the seminar received certificates.
