A two-day international seminar on criminal law measures to counter terrorism has started in Astana.
The training was organized by the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies with the support of the OSCE Office in Astana, as well as the Museum of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The head of the Academy Nail Akhmetzakirov noted the urgency of the seminar in the context of strengthening the fight against threats and challenges of the modern world.
Topical issues of combating terrorism, the development of effective anti-terrorism strategy were in the training program.
The training sessions of the seminar are devoted to the practical issues of investigating criminal cases of this category, improving the forms and methods of countering radical ideology, and suppressing the financing of terrorism.
Leading experts in the field of combating extremism and terrorism from Great Britain, Germany, Russia, the United States, the Netherlands, Poland will give presentations to Kazakhstani listeners.
