Advanced training courses for reservists

A week of advanced training courses in the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies for prosecutors who are in a staff reserve for the posts of the head of the regional prosecutor’s office, the district prosecutor (city) and the deputy prosecutor of the region.

This is the fourth stream of listeners. In total, more than 70 employees of this category were trained. The main goal of the training is the improvement of the professional skills and managerial competence of the trainees needed for appointment to higher managerial positions.

A special program of three modules was developed: “Main competencies of the effectiveness of the prosecutor”, “Adaptation of prosecutorial activities in the new legal environment”, “Digitalization of the criminal process”.

The staff of the Academy and experienced practitioners are involved to ensure practical orientation to teaching.

A member of the Constitutional Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Johann Merkel, addressed the audience with a lecture on the topic “Constitutional control in a law-governed state”.

The lecture covered the establishment of the institution of constitutional control in Kazakhstan, the functions and tasks of the Constitutional Council, as well as the specifics of international practice in this field.

In conclusion, the lecturer was awarded a diploma awarding him the title of “Honorary Professor of the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies under the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan”. This decision was made earlier at the meeting of the Academic Council taking into account the contribution made to the development in the scientific and educational activities of the Academy.
