Employees and trainees of the Academy of law enforcement agencies celebrated the Day of Gratitude.
In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan of January 14, 2016, the Day of Gratitude is celebrated on March 1 as a day of gratitude to all ethnic groups to each other and to Kazakhs who accepted as native representatives of different nationalities during the mass deportation to Kazakhstan in the 30-40’s.
The main goal of the event is the development of a sense of tolerance among the employees, respect for each other, strengthening of friendship and interethnic harmony.
Special guests were members of the Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan – representatives of ethno-cultural centres, well-known public figures who made a great contribution to strengthening peace and harmony in the country. They talked about the history of the deportation, the hospitality of the Kazakhs and the acquisition of a second homeland in Kazakhstan.
Then the documentary film “Deportation to Kazakhstan in 30-40’s of the 20th century. A common history” was demonstrated.
After watching the film, a concert program was held, where the Chechen-Ingush ensemble “Vainakh” performed with folk dances, as well as with the folk and Kazakh songs the German ensemble “Shpette blumen”.
The event ended with the joint performance of the song “Atameken”.
