Another training on countering cybercrime organized by the Law Enforcement Academy with the support of the US Embassy in the Republic of Kazakhstan and the OSCE Office in Astana was held.
The training event, held at the Eurasian National University, was the third stage of a training course on the investigation of cybercrime.
The seminar was attended by employees of investigative and operational units of law enforcement agencies, judicial experts involved in the investigation of crimes of this category.
The meeting participants discussed topical issues of ensuring information security, increasing the effectiveness of the fight against crime in the field of high technology.
As noted at the meeting, cybercrime today has become one of the global threats to national and international security. For example, over the past seven years, the number of recorded Internet crimes in Kazakhstan has increased by almost 40 times.
The created situation dictates the need to strengthen work on combating crime in the face of growing cyber threats, and further training of specialists conducting crime investigations. Experts from the United States shared their experience in combating cybercrime.
Students performed practical exercises related to the detection and investigation of computer crimes. All this made it possible to master new progressive practices, effective methods and methods for detecting and combating cybercrimes.
