The issues of scientific and analytical support for law enforcement practice, strengthening the role of departmental science in the fight against crime were discussed today at a meeting of the Scientific and Methodological Council of the Law Enforcement Academy.
It consists of representatives of law enforcement agencies and interested government agencies, the public and the scientific community.
During the meeting, the results of interdepartmental research conducted by the Academy in the current year were discussed.
Analyzing the results of the work done, the members of the council noted the relevance of scientific research in norm-setting, law enforcement and educational activities. The projects implemented by the Academy offer effective approaches to solving urgent problems of ensuring law and order.
Based on the results of the work of the copyright collectives, acts of implementation and certificates of state registration of rights to the copyright object were obtained. In addition, amendments to the criminal procedural and criminal legislation were worked out, a number of proposals were included in the regulatory decision of the Supreme Court on the application by the courts of legislation on environmental crimes, etc.
Following the discussion, it was recommended to continue scientific and analytical research, to intensify interagency cooperation. In the context of the implementation of the tasks set by the Head of State to the law enforcement system, the development of a unified scientific policy is an important condition for increasing the effectiveness of law enforcement.
