Prosecutors Learned Negotiation Techniques

The Law Enforcement Academy took advanced training courses for prosecutors on training in negotiating skills in crisis situations.

The event was attended by employees of the General, military, transport prosecutor’s offices of Astana, as well as the faculty of the Academy.

Thomas Helm, the head of the representative office of the K. Adenauer International Legal Foundation, as well as well-known Kazakhstani experts in profiling and neurolinguistic programming were invited as lecturers.

Experts familiarized students with the development trends of modern crisis communications, tactics and techniques of negotiating during crisis situations, and taught emergency skills. They talked about the rules for providing information in the media in case of unusual situations.

An important topic was the development of technologies for detecting fraud and compiling criminal profiling that allows to identify the criminal among ordinary people.

Training took place in the format of training and practical exercises with a discussion of specific tasks and various conflict situations in order to consolidate the gained knowledge.

According to the participants of the meeting, the content of the curriculum, its focus on developing the skills of a successful negotiation process among law enforcement officials will bring great practical benefits for making quick and adequate decisions in various emergency situations.
