A meeting of an expert group on combating drug trafficking was held on February 7-8.
The group included employees of the Academy, the Department for Combating Drug Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Committee for Financial Monitoring, the Economic Investigation Service, as well as representatives of CARICC, the US Embassy, the OSCE and QIWI Kazakhstan.
Within the framework of the meeting, a scenario of simulation training on the issues of counteracting the legalization of proceeds of drug crime was compiled for employees of law enforcement and government bodies of Kazakhstan.
According to the plan, the algorithm of actions of various categories of students is prescribed, the plot of drug crime is discussed, the evidence base is determined, tasks are developed to consolidate the material.
The training was organized with the participation of CARICC, the US Embassy and the OSCE, in order to develop practical skills for specialists in the identification, suppression and investigation of this type of crime.
Participants of the meeting noted the importance of training events to improve the skills of specialists, improve the means and methods of combating drug crime, and the need to join forces to combat illegal drug trafficking.
