Training on teaching skills for conducting investigative work according to the German model

Wyndham Garden Astana hosted training in teaching investigative skills and modernizing criminal procedure legislation.

The event was organized at the initiative of the Law Enforcement Academy under the Prosecutor General’s Office with the support of the Representative Office of the Conrad Adenauer Foundation in Kazakhstan.

The training was attended by employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, prosecutors, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Economic Investigation Service.

Speakers were forensic professor Christian Matzdorf and German Embassy official Benjamin Lang.

Experts spoke about the trends in the development of forensic technology in Germany, shared their experience in conducting investigative actions, authorizing them, as well as choosing a preventive measure. We dwelled on the features of the interaction of the police and the prosecutor’s office in the investigation of crimes.

They also noted the achievements of Kazakhstan in improving the criminal and criminal procedure legislation. Experts have compared the criminal process in Germany and Kazakhstan, drawing attention to some legal institutions that can be implemented in the laws of both countries.
