A scientific-practical conference “The Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan: past, present, future” was held in the city of Kokshetau.
The main objective of the event is to reveal the features of constitutional norms and principles establishing sovereignty, political, economic, social and spiritual-cultural rights and freedoms of citizens, the foundations of the constitutional system of Kazakhstan.
The conference was attended by representatives of the Constitutional Council, the Law Enforcement Academy, prosecutors, courts, local executive bodies, legal scholars and practicing lawyers.
In his welcoming speech, the head of the Academy noted the special role of the Basic Law for the formation of a sovereign state. “In the legal system of any state, the Constitution always takes a leading place, since it is in its integral form that consolidates the most important principles of the country’s socio-political system.
“Our Constitution, adopted at a national referendum, laid a solid foundation for statehood and independence” he stressed.
Zhanar Seitaeva, associate professor of the Institute for Advanced Professional Studies, spoke on behalf of the Academy, whose report on the topic “Formation of constitutional justice as a guarantee of compliance with the rule of law in the Republic of Kazakhstan” found a positive response among the conference participants.
The event was organized by the prosecutor’s office of the Akmola region and Kokshetau University. named after A.Myrzakhmetova.
