Effective implementation of the “Kazakhstan — 2050” Strategy, the Concept of Kazakhstan becoming one of the 30 most developed countries in the world, five institutional reforms, the national Plan “100 concrete steps” and other conceptual documents involves a systematic study of international best practices, as well as interaction with leading educational centers of foreign countries.
The need to further consolidate international cooperation caused by globalization of the world educational space, in this context, harmonization of standards, exchange of experience in the application of innovative technologies in science and education will serve as a major impetus for further development of the training system.
Within the framework of the Academy’s institutional development, work continues to study the best world experience of scientific and educational institutions abroad and establish interaction with them.
In this context the Academy actively interacts with such reputable foreign scientific and educational institutions as: University of the Prosecutor’s office of the Russian Federation, International academy of law enforcement agencies ILEA, as well as specialized universities in other countries.
The Academy develops cooperation with the following international organizations and financial institutions: the world Bank, the OSCE program Office in Nur-Sultan, the Office on drugs and crime, TIKA, and German foundations Friedrich Ebert, Konrad Adenauer, IRZ, Embassies and diplomatic missions of advanced foreign countries.
Representatives of law enforcement agencies and the Academy actively participate in international scientific and practical conferences, round tables, educational seminars and trainings on various topical issues of regional security, law enforcement and crime control.
Since 2016, the Academy has been a Regional hub for countering global threats: terrorism, human trafficking, financial, drug and cybercrime.
The main goal of the Hub is to increase the level of interaction between law enforcement agencies in the Central Asian region, develop the most appropriate and effective measures to respond to new threats and challenges of crime, especially its transnational organized forms, exchange experience, and implement international educational projects at the Academy.
As part of the Hub status, 3,287 law enforcement and government officials have been trained, including 1,700 law enforcement officers from Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Georgia, Armenia, Tajikistan, and Pakistan.17 cooperation agreements have been signed with foreign higher education institutions and international organizations.
Since 2018, the Academy has been the CIS basic organization for financial (tax) investigation bodies (1,700 foreign citizens of countries including the CIS, Cuba, Afghanistan, Iran and Pakistan have been trained), since 2020 – the CIS basic organization for retraining and advanced training of prosecutorial and investigative workers, in 2021 – chairman of the Network for Countering Violent Extremism in Central Asia and a participant in the International Network Institute in the Field of AML/CFT.
23 cooperation agreements have been concluded with foreign higher education institutions and international organizations.
125 scientific and educational events were held, which involved 368 international and foreign experts, such as Russia, Germany, the USA and others.
With the active assistance of international partners, the Academy organized the departure of 280 law enforcement officers abroad for the exchange of experience, training and participation in international events. In 2019 alone, 110 law enforcement officers visited countries such as Austria, Hungary, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, China, Russia, USA, France.
