The Academy has presented its approaches to teaching the “Law and Order” course at a national academic and practical seminar organised by the Y. Altynsarin National Academy of Education.

The key approaches to preventing offences among minors were presented by Artur Baimakhanov, PhD, Head of the Department of General Legal Disciplines at the Academy. In his paper he focused on practical tools for implementing the “Law and Order” principle.

His presentation covered the teaching methods used on the course: the analysis of real-life cases and situational tasks, the modelling of behavioural options and discussion of their legal consequences.

The course is intended to develop pupils’ legal literacy, their ability to recognise dangerous situations, their skills in making lawful and safe decisions, and their understanding of responsibility for their own actions.

Taking part in the development and expert support of the course has become one of the Academy’s areas of work in the field of legal education.
