The Academy is expanding its cooperation with civil society in the field of legal education

The Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies under the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a round-table discussion on the topic «Cooperation between the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies and civil society: promoting legal knowledge through periodicals».

The event was attended by representatives of non-governmental organisations, the expert community and the civil sector. Participants discussed issues relating to the promotion of legal knowledge and the development of partnerships.

Ruslan Alkenev, Vice-Rector of the Academy, noted that the Academy’s academic journals serve as an effective platform for professional dialogue, the exchange of experience and the strengthening of cooperation with civil society.

Participants were also presented with short-term training courses for entrepreneurs, aimed at improving legal literacy and preventing legal risks.

It was noted that such meetings contribute to the implementation of the principle of «Law and Order» and the concept of a «Responsive state», thereby strengthening open dialogue between state bodies and civil society.

Following the round-table discussion, participants exchanged views and drew up proposals for the further development of cooperation.
