The Academy and OSCE Strengthen Strategic Partnership

On October 16, 2025, on behalf of the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Berik Asylov, a meeting was held at the Law Enforcement Academy under the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan between the Academy’s Rector, Nurgalym Abdirov, and the Head of the OSCE Programme Office in Astana, Alexey Rogov.

During the meeting, Nurgalym Abdirov expressed his gratitude to the OSCE and personally to Alexey Rogov for the stable and effective cooperation based on shared goals — strengthening the rule of law, combating transnational crime, and integrating digital solutions into the personnel training system.

This year, with the support of the OSCE, training sessions were held on combating human trafficking, cybercrime, drug-related crime, and terrorism, as well as programs aimed at developing the digital competencies of law enforcement personnel. The partner’s contribution to organizing the International Congress of Lawyers, dedicated to the Academy’s 10th anniversary, was especially noted as a testament to the strategic nature of the partnership.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties outlined new areas of joint work — the development of training programs in digital forensics, the use of artificial intelligence in investigations, and working with digital evidence. Deepening the partnership with the OSCE will contribute to enhancing the qualifications of law enforcement personnel and aligning national approaches with international standards.
