On September 30, 2025, the 23rd meeting of the Council of the International Network Institute for Combating the Legalization of Criminal Proceeds and the Financing of Terrorism was held in the city of Krasnoyarsk, Russian Federation, as part of the final week of the International Financial Security Olympiad.
The meeting was attended by representatives of leading universities and international organizations from CIS countries and beyond.
The Law Enforcement Academy under the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan was represented by Rector Marat Seksembaev, who delivered a report on the Academy’s priority areas in training specialists in the field of combating economic crimes and terrorism.
In his speech, Mr. Seksembaev emphasized that threats to financial security pose a serious challenge in today’s world and can only be countered through joint efforts. He paid special attention to the work of the Regional Hub for Countering Global Threats, established at the Academy in 2017. Over the past eight years, this educational platform has trained more than 8,000 Kazakhstani and around 900 international specialists from 22 countries.
Mr. Seksembaev’s presentation sparked interest among Council participants, highlighting the significance of Kazakhstan’s experience in strengthening international cooperation and preparing qualified professionals.
