On October 1, 2025, the Law Enforcement Academy under the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a binary lecture session for master’s students on the topic «Specific Aspects of Jury Trials: From Procedural Features to the Role of the Public Prosecutor in Shaping Jurors’ Convictions.»
The session was conducted by Dinara Amurtaeva, PhD in Law and Associate Professor at the Department of Postgraduate Education of the Academy. Experts from the Academy—PhD in Law Gulmira Nubaeva and Serzhan Temirov—also participated in the event.
The lecture addressed key procedural features of jury trials and the particular role of the public prosecutor in such proceedings. Special emphasis was placed on the professional and personal qualities of the prosecutor, which have a direct impact on the formation of jurors’ internal convictions.
The topic sparked keen interest among the attendees. During the discussion, master’s students actively asked questions, and the lecturer provided comprehensive answers, highlighting the practical relevance of the issues under consideration.
