As part of the advanced training courses for employees of the Economic Investigation Service, a lecture was given by Yergali Mabiyev, Director of “ITbyDesign” LLP, on the topic “Possibilities of using AI in the investigation of criminal cases.
The speaker presented practical examples of using AI at every stage of an investigation—from creating plans and automatically transcribing interrogations to algorithms for finding contradictions in testimony and visualizing the crime scene. Special attention was given to using digital technologies for crime prediction.
Such technologies are already becoming an important part of a detective’s professional training. Their implementation will significantly speed up work on complex multi-episode cases, improve the quality of evidence, and reduce the number of routine tasks.
The Law Enforcement Academy under the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan views artificial intelligence as a strategic direction capable of taking law enforcement to a new level of effectiveness and transparency.
