30 Years of the Constitution: Intellectual Quiz “At Zang – Tauelsizdik Tiregi”

On August 7, 2025, the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies, in collaboration with the Department of Legal Drafting Coordination of the Prosecutor General’s Office, held an intellectual quiz titled “Ata Zang – Tauelsizdik Tiregi” (The Fundamental Law – The Pillar of Independence) to mark the 30th anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Event Highlights

Kaliolla Seitenov, the Academy’s First Vice-Rector, opened the event, emphasizing the Constitution’s significance as the foundation of the country’s independence and legal development.

Nine student teams competed, showcasing their knowledge of the Constitution’s principles, human rights and freedoms, and the history of Kazakhstan’s constitutional system. The quiz consisted of three rounds: “Blitz Questions,” “True or False,” and a “Case Study.”

Engagement and Recognition

Following the competition, Bekzhan Yermukhanbetuly, Deputy Head of the Department of Legal Drafting Coordination, spoke with the participants. He stressed the importance of legal literacy and active civic engagement among young people. He also announced an essay contest titled “The Constitution and My Life.”

The winners of the quiz were awarded cups and certificates. The event concluded with a musical performance and a group photo.
