Today, a theatrical performance was held at the Cultural and Sports Center in Kosshy, organized by the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies under the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The event was dedicated to Abai Kunanbayev, the great Kazakh poet, thinker, and educator.
The performance, titled “Abai mangi zhurekte” (Abai is forever in our hearts), presented episodes from Abai’s life, inspired by M. Auezov’s work The Path of Abai. The show featured Abai’s poetry, dombra melodies, and traditional dances. It explored themes of humanity, justice, spirituality, and the formation of the great poet’s personality, with special attention to the rich traditions and way of life of the Kazakh people.
The creative approach of the Academy’s students, combined with their deep knowledge of the Kazakh language and literature, created an atmosphere of reverence for Abai’s legacy. It highlighted his timeless philosophy, which remains relevant for modern Kazakhstan.
The event was an important part of the cultural and spiritual education of future law enforcement officers, emphasizing the significance of Abai’s work for today’s youth.
