National training on electronic evidence

On June 9-10, 2025, the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies under the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in cooperation with the OSCE Program Office in Astana, held a training session on “Features of Requesting Electronic Evidence from Other Countries.”

Judges, prosecutors, internal affairs and national security officials took part in the training. Participants learned about the procedures for sending requests to foreign service providers, including urgent and direct requests, as well as the legal grounds for their processing.

The training was conducted by international experts from Georgia and the OSCE Secretariat. Theoretical sessions were accompanied by practical exercises. Particular attention was paid to human rights compliance and the application of international standards.

The event contributed to strengthening professional skills and developing cooperation in the field of cross-border exchange of electronic evidence.
