Advanced training for prosecutors on protecting the sexual integrity of minors

From May 26 to 30, 2025, the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies under the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan held advanced training courses for prosecutors.

The training focused on issues related to sexual abuse of minors and crimes committed by adolescents themselves.

The training was conducted by Academy instructors and invited experts, including investigators from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, psychologists, a juvenile court judge, and representatives of the Forensic Examination Center and the General Prosecutor’s Office.The main goal of the courses is to strengthen the professional skills of prosecutors in investigating such cases, including the specifics of classifying crimes, gathering evidence, and participating in investigative activities.

Special attention is paid to the prevention of violence against minors and the protection of the rights of child victims

Participants also took part in simulated investigative activities, examining crime scenes, preparing questions for expert examinations, conducting interrogations, and learning how to record testimony.

At the end of the course, participants received certificates confirming their new knowledge and skills in the field of protecting minors in criminal proceedings.
