Vectors of legal modernization: expert opinion of the Academy at the conference

Faculty members, master’s students, and doctoral students from the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies took part in an international scientific and practical conference on the topic: “Experience in Reforming Legislation in the Field of Combating Crime,” held at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University.

The conference was timed to coincide with the 10th anniversary of the adoption and entry into force of the Criminal, Criminal Procedure, and Criminal Enforcement Codes of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The event was attended by leading domestic and foreign scholars, representatives of the judiciary and law enforcement agencies. During the plenary and sectional meetings, key areas of development of criminal legislation, its application in practice, and prospects for further modernization of the legal system were discussed.

Representatives of the Academy delivered substantive reports, focusing on topical issues of criminal policy, problems of crime classification, and the need to bring science and practice closer together in the legal sphere. The exchange of views with experts from different countries contributed to the formation of a unified professional approach to solving pressing problems in the field of combating crime.

Participation in such forums reflects the Academy’s strategic course towards integrating scientific developments into the training system for law enforcement agencies, developing international cooperation, and actively participating in the reform of national legislation.
