Music that unites generations: Academy launches challenge in honor of Nurgisa Tlendiev’s 100th birthday

To mark the 100th anniversary of the birth of the great Kazakh composer Nurgisa Tlendiev, the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies under the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan has launched a cultural challenge dedicated to his creative legacy.

The initiative aims to inspire law enforcement officers and all lovers of Kazakh culture to perform the Maestro’s works. The Academy opened the campaign with a performance of one of his most recognizable works, “Ata Tolgauly.”

Nurgisa Tlendiev is a name known to every Kazakhstani. His music lives on in the people, and we want it to continue to be heard. Preserving our cultural heritage is our common task, regardless of our profession.

The academy is passing the baton to the Barimbek Beisenov Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Karaganda and invites colleagues, partners, and anyone else who wishes to support the challenge. To join, simply play Tlendiev’s kuy on the dombra, record a video, and post it on social media with the hashtags #Тілендіев100 and #Тлендіев100.
