The Asset Recovery Committee of the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan hosted a presentation of the results of a scientific study conducted by the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies on the topic: “Sufficiency of evidence in criminal cases on asset recovery: theoretical and applied aspects.”
The event was attended by the Committee’s management and staff, as well as experts in the field of criminal procedure and international cooperation. The materials presented were highly praised for their relevance, depth of theoretical analysis, and the practical significance of the recommendations developed.
During the discussion, particular attention was paid to issues related to improving the criteria for evaluating evidence in criminal cases concerning asset recovery, law enforcement practice and international experience in this area, as well as improving the regulatory framework to enhance the effectiveness of law enforcement agencies.
The results of the study will form the basis for the development of methodological recommendations on ensuring the return of assets to the state budget.
The Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies continues to work on preparing scientific research and developing effective mechanisms to combat crime.
