“Get to know your neighbors” – a step towards a strong and secure society

The Law Enforcement Academy consistently implements initiatives aimed at strengthening public safety and improving law and order. As part of promoting the principle of “Law and Order” as a key value of society, and in accordance with the Concept of Public Safety in Partnership with Society for 2024-2028, a working meeting was held to launch the pilot project “Get to Know Your Neighbors.”

Representatives of the Academy, the Koshy City Prosecutor’s Office, the akimat, and the local police service took part in the discussion. The project aims to strengthen social ties between citizens, improve the legal culture of the population, and involve society in the process of ensuring law and order.

The initiative promotes a culture of good neighborliness and mutual assistance, encouraging citizens to participate consciously in ensuring public safety. The active involvement of the population in the prevention of crime and offenses is an important part of modern approaches to maintaining law and order. “Get to Know Your Neighbors” aims to create a new model of social responsibility, in which every resident understands their role in strengthening the security of their neighborhood and city.

The pilot implementation of the initiative in the city of Koshy will allow for an assessment of the effectiveness of the proposed mechanisms for interaction and create a practical basis for scaling the project to other regions of the country. There are plans to introduce a system for promptly reporting offences, conduct educational activities to improve the legal literacy of the population, and create active communities of residents who interact with law enforcement agencies.

The project is expected to lead to a reduction in the level of administrative and criminal offenses, increased social cohesion, and strengthened trust between citizens and government agencies.

The Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies continues to implement innovative solutions in the field of law enforcement, forming effective models of interaction between citizens and law enforcement agencies.
