The Law Enforcement Academy hosted a seminar entitled “The Use of Innovative Technologies in the Fight Against Corruption”. It was attended by employees of the Prosecutor’s Office, the Anti-Corruption Agency, the Financial Monitoring Agency, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as Academy faculty members.
The seminar was held in a hybrid format (online/offline), which allowed for more participants to attend. Digital solutions for identifying and preventing corruption risks were discussed, including the Orbis analytical platform from Moody’s Corporation and tools from Kazdream Special Systems LLP.
Experts presented the functionality of analytical databases that allow studying corporate structures and identifying ultimate beneficiaries. Case studies of using Orbis to assess financial risks and identify corruption were demonstrated.
Participants noted the potential of digital solutions to strengthen Kazakhstan’s anti-corruption system and expressed their readiness for further cooperation.
