International recognition of the scientific activity of the Academy

The traditional international competition “Scientific Book” has been completed in Moscow, where the works of scientists of the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies were highly appreciated and awarded honorary prizes.

139 works from 57 scientific and educational institutions of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Russia and Tajikistan were submitted to the competition.

The 2nd place in the nomination “Administrative law and Process” was won by the monograph “Observance of individual rights in proceedings on administrative offenses”, prepared by the team of authors of the Interdepartmental Research Institute of the Academy.

The work of Kazakhstani scientists is devoted to topical issues of violations of personal rights committed by law enforcement officers.

As the authors note, the problem lies in legislative gaps and conflicts. Legal acts do not distinguish between the concepts of “delivery” and “detention”. There is no clear regulation of the order of application of the drive and some other security measures.

Based on the results of the study, a number of specific proposals have been developed to improve legislation and the practice of its application.

In another nomination “Criminal Law and Criminology”, the 3rd place was won by the monograph “Punishment in criminal Law”.

The authors have proposed a new system of punishments that will eliminate contradictions between the General and Special parts of the Criminal Code of Kazakhstan, ensure compliance with the principles of criminal law, simplify the work of law enforcement officers and have a positive impact on prevention.

The participation of our Academy in the scientific competition has become a good tradition. Its organizer is the Academy of Management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation. The University is the main scientific and methodological center of the Ministry, as well as the basic organization of the CIS countries for training and advanced training of senior management of internal affairs bodies.
