Law enforcement officers of Central Asian countries have been trained in computer-forensic examination

Today, the second stage of the training course on computer forensic examination using open source programs has been completed at the Academy.

The event was attended by law enforcement officers of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.

The organizers are the Academy and the OSCE Program Office in Nur—Sultan.

Anna Illamaa, Ivar Friheim, Georgy Pirveli and Lucian Radu, consultants of the Department for Countering Transnational Threats/Department for Strategic Policing of the OSCE Secretariat, spoke about foreign experience in this direction.

At this stage, the participants studied the basics of computer forensics and digital forensics, including methods of searching, obtaining, securing and researching digital evidence.
