A special leadership training for women law enforcement officers, military personnel and judges is being held at the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies under the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Increasing the proportion of women involved in decision-making processes in the public sector is one of the goals of the Concept of Family and Gender Policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan until 2030.
The policy documents of the UN Security Council also recommend more active involvement of women in the work on conflict prevention and resolution, ensuring peace and security.
With this in mind, the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies, with the support of the OSCE Program Office in Nur-Sultan, organized a special three-day training for 30 participants from the Academy of Justice at the Supreme Court, the National Defense University. The First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy, as well as all 5 departmental universities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The training program includes issues of promoting women’s leadership in Kazakhstan, the use of practical tools of a woman leader, her positioning in the information space.
It is planned that the trained participants will further promote issues of gender policy and women’s leadership in their universities, including including them in ongoing training courses.
