Today, the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies was visited by deputies of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Rector of the Academy Timur Suleimenov informed the guests about the priority directions and results of scientific and educational activities of the university, prospects for further development.
During the meeting, topical issues of legislative and law enforcement practice, improvement of the legal framework of law enforcement agencies were considered.
The main topic of the agenda was the discussion of the draft law approved in the first reading by the Majilis of the Parliament on further improvement of legislation on law enforcement service.
In particular, the proposed legislative changes are designed to optimize the procedure for entering the law enforcement service, speed up the process of hiring the right and worthy specialists.
The participants of the meeting exchanged views on improving the selection of personnel, admission procedures and service.
The proposal to make personnel processes and personnel requirements uniform for all law enforcement agencies was fully approved. Including issues of encouragement, imposition of penalties, assignment of titles, internship and competition, certification of employees, transfer of specialists from other bodies. The issues of material support and social protection of employees were also discussed.
According to the general opinion of the participants, a businesslike and constructive dialogue took place, which will serve to further develop professional relationships. Such meetings are necessary to increase the effectiveness of joint work, as they enable legislators to obtain objective information about the effectiveness of legal acts first-hand, evaluate their effectiveness, identify possible contradictions and shortcomings.
