TRAINING SEMINAR ON COUNTERING CYBERCRIME

The Academy has completed a two-day online training seminar “Features of the investigation of criminal cases related to the theft and use of personal and personal data”.

The participants of the training are employees of the Prosecutor’s Office, national security, anti-corruption service, economic investigation Service, internal affairs bodies and military police.

During the training, the current problems of information security, improving the effectiveness of the fight against crime in the field of high technology were analyzed.

The participants got acquainted with international best practices and new methods of collecting and qualifying evidence. We studied the structure and dynamics of cybercrimes, methods of theft of personal data and the use of digital identity in the commission of computer fraud.

The classes were conducted by teachers of the Academy, trainers of the Center for Analysis and Investigation of Cyber Attacks and the Committee on Legal Statistics and Special Records of the Prosecutor General’s Office.

Experts from Belarus shared their national experience in the investigation and prevention of such crimes, told about modern systems for detecting and preventing identity theft.

The training event was held as part of the implementation of a special plan for training law enforcement and special agencies in best practices and working methods for 2021-2023.
