Strengthening partnerships

The Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies was visited by a delegation of the University of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine headed by the Vice–rector for Training of Tax Police Personnel – Head of the Faculty of Training, Retraining and Advanced Training of Tax police Officers Vasily Chmelyuk.

During the visit, meetings were held with the management, teaching staff, students of the Academy and heads of the investigative and personnel departments of the Financial Monitoring Agency.

The parties noted the common goals and objectives of the two educational institutions, expressed interest in establishing mutually beneficial cooperation in the scientific and educational sphere.

According to V. Chmelyuk, Ukraine is following with great interest the progressive changes in the work of the Kazakh law enforcement system, in particular, in the field of training qualified personnel.

A new law enforcement agency for combating economic crime has been created in Ukraine – the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine. Therefore, the establishment of long-term ties with the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies, the study of Kazakhstan’s experience in training specialists in economic security is of great professional interest, he stressed.

The guests were familiarized with the main activities of the Academy in the programs of vocational training, postgraduate education, research work.

As a result of the visit, a memorandum of cooperation was signed, within the framework of which universities intend to consolidate efforts in the field of research and educational activities. To hold joint events, exchange experiences, carry out mutual visits of experts and listeners.

Noting the importance of the agreements reached, the parties expressed confidence that the agreement will serve as a significant impetus for strengthening partnerships, deepening cooperation in training specialists in the field of combating financial crime.
