LIST OF DOCUMENTS,
submitted to the Academy’s Dissertation Council
Before accepting protection:
1) an application addressed to the rector of the Academy about the selection of a dissertation council in which the applicant will defend his defense;
2) an application addressed to the chairman for admission to defense (Appendix 15 to these Regulations);
3) dissertation in hardcover and on electronic media (CD) (hereinafter referred to as electronic media). The dissertation is submitted in one of the following languages – state, Russian or English;
4) reviews of scientific consultants, certified at their place of work;
5) a positive conclusion from an extended meeting of the university department on the basis of which the applicant’s dissertation work was carried out, approved by the supervising vice-rector (deputy head of the university);
6) a list of scientific works and their copies, in publications that have an impact factor according to the JCR (JSR) or indexed in the Web of Science Core Collection database (sections of the Arts and Humanities Citation Index (Art and Humanities Citation Index) Index), Science Citation Index Expanded, Social Sciences Citation Index (Social Sciences Citation Index) of Clarivate Analytics, as well as in publications that have a certain percentile indicator according to Cite Score in the Scopus database (Skor website).
If there is 1 (one) article in an international peer-reviewed scientific journal that has an impact factor according to JCR (JSR) (or indexed in the Web of Science Core Collection database (sections Arts and Humanities Citation Index (Arts) and Humanities Citation Index), Science Citation Index Expanded (Science Citation Index Expanded), Social Sciences Citation Index (Social Sciences Citation Index) or a percentile indicator according to Cite Score (Site Score) of at least 25 (twenty-five) in the database Scopus, the number of articles in journals from the List of Publications is 3 (three).
If there is 1 (one) article in a journal that has an impact factor according to JCR (JCR) or a percentile indicator according to Cite Score (SiteScore) of at least 25 (twenty-five) in the Scopus database (Scopus) and 1 (one ) articles in a journal included in the first three quartiles of the JCR database (JSR) or having a CiteScore percentile indicator in the Scopus database of at least 50 (fifty), publish articles in scientific publications included in the List of Publications , not required.
If there is one scientific article in a journal included in the first quartile of the JCR database (JSR), no other publications are required.
Articles in international peer-reviewed scientific journals correspond to the thematic focus of the journal stated in the specified databases and are published in current issues. At the same time, at the time of publication of the article or defense of the dissertation, the journal has a percentile indicator according to the Cite Score (Site Score) in the Scopus database or an impact factor (or is indexed) in the Web of Science Core Collection database (Web of Science Core Collection). in at least one of the scientific fields corresponding to the content of the dissertation.
If there are scientific articles exceeding the required number in international peer-reviewed scientific journals, they are counted as articles in scientific publications included in the List of Publications.
Foreign patents included in the Web of Science database of Clarivate Analytics are counted as publications in international peer-reviewed scientific journals.
When defending dissertations containing state secrets or information for official use, the main results of the dissertation are published in no less than 7 (seven) publications on the topic of the dissertation, including at least 4 (four) articles in scientific publications, included in the List of publications.
Publications in international peer-reviewed scientific journals are confirmed by a certificate from the joint-stock company “National Center for State Scientific and Technical Expertise” (hereinafter referred to as NCSSTE );
7) an extract from the minutes of the meeting of the Academic Council of the university or other supporting documents on the approval of the topic of the dissertation, on the appointment of scientific consultants;
8) copies of diplomas of higher and postgraduate education, annexes to them (copies of the transcript) (if the applicant changes the surname, a document confirming the change of surname is provided);
9) a copy of the transcript on completion of the doctoral educational program;
10) information about the applicant in the form in accordance with Appendix 16 to these Regulations;
11) personal personnel record (service record), certified at the place of study by the university’s personnel service or at the place of work, with a photograph;
12) abstract in the state, Russian, English languages with a total volume of at least 1 (one) printed sheet;
13) text of the announcement (in the state, Russian and English languages) (Appendix 17 to these Regulations);
14) the conclusion of the Ethics Commission of the university where the doctoral student studied on the absence of violations in the process of planning, evaluation, selection, conduct and dissemination of scientific research results, including the protection of the rights, safety and well-being of research objects (wildlife objects and habitats).
After receiving protection:
15) certificate from the National Center for Scientific and Technical Sciences on checking the dissertation on the applicant’s use of borrowed material without reference to the author and source of borrowing;
16) reviews from 2 (two) official reviewers;
After protection:
17) information about the spelling of the last name, first name and patronymic (if any) in Kazakh, Russian and English;
18) the appearance sheet of the members of the dissertation council in the form in accordance with Appendix 9 to these Regulations;
19) full video recording and minutes of the meeting of the dissertation council for the defense of the dissertation, signed by the chairman and scientific secretary with a transcript of the meeting attached;
20) a dissertation registration card in the state and Russian languages in the form in accordance with Appendix 14 to these Regulations with the state registration number assigned to NCSSTE;
21) a notice from the NCSSTE confirming the state registration of the dissertation.
