The Law Enforcement Academy hosted a creative evening “Abay’s Poetry”, dedicated to the 175th anniversary of the great Kazakh poet, educator Abay Kunanbayev.
The event was attended by the faculty, staff and students of the Academy.
The Director of the Cultural Center “Ruhani zhangyru” of the Nazarbayev University, Professor Gultas Kurmanbay, spoke to the audience. She spoke about the poet’s work and focused on the Abay’s Words of Edification.
The topic “Abay and Drama” was dedicated to the report of the head of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines and Art management of the Kazakh National University of Arts, Professor Ayman Kaudyrova.
Students of the Theatre University under the leadership of the honored worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan Lyali Beknazar presented a dramatic production based on the works of the poet.
As part of the event, the library of the Academy organized a book exhibition “Alem tanygan – Dana Abay” (Recognized the world – wise Abay).
Then the stage was filled with heartfelt poems and songs of the great akyn. Students read their works dedicated to the work of Abay.
