A memorial was opened to veterans of the Great Patriotic War on the eve of the Constitution Day on the territory of the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies.
The honorary guests of the event were veterans of the prosecutor’s office, aksakals of the Tselinograd district. The employees and listeners of the Academy, fellow villagers also visited the memory of the heroes.
The solemn ceremony was opened by the head of the rural district of Koshy Akmola region Dinmukhamed Kaliev and Acting Rector of the Academy Nail Akhmetzakirov.
Veterans of the village and chairman of the republican Union of Veterans of the Procurator’s Office Gulzhan Karakulov also addressed the audience.
Veterans expressed the parting words to the younger generation to be worthy of the memory of those who, sparing no effort, defended the independence of the Motherland.
Residents of the village remember and are proud of the names of their legendary men – the heroes of the war. National hero of Kazakhstan Rakhimzhan Koshkarbayev hoisted the Banner of Victory over the Reichstag. Aitmagambet Esmagambetuly was awarded the Order of the Red Star for the liberation from the Nazis of the village “Red Dawn”. Kuan Shibuchikov was awarded the Order of the Great Patriotic War, medals for courage and valor.
The participants of the celebration laid flowers and wreaths to the monument.
After that, there was a celebration dedicated to the Constitution Day.
The head of the Academy noted the historical importance of the Constitution in the formation of an independent Kazakhstan, the role of the prosecutor’s office in securing constitutional legality and law and order.
The current constitutional reform has further strengthened the status of the prosecutor’s office, thereby emphasizing its place and purpose in the state structure. Innovations are aimed at improving the human rights capacity of the supervisory authority and improving the effectiveness of supervision.
N. Akhmetzakirov noted that in the light of constitutional changes, the Academy faces serious tasks related to retraining of employees with new legal and practical aspects of the participation of the prosecutor in criminal proceedings.
The celebrations ended with a festive concert prepared by the staff and listeners of the Academy.
