The audience of the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies was enlarged with a new contingent. A training cycle on the prevention of juvenile delinquency has started for twenty-five students of the capital’s schools. Training has become an important component of the project “Modernization of prevention of juvenile delinquency” conducted by the Prosecutor’s Office of Astana.
The opening session was attended by representatives of Regional Governor Office (Akimat) of Astana city prosecutor’s office, local police, the Department of Education.
The Head of the Academy Nail Ahmetzakirov noted the special relevance of the training activities for social and moral education of children, prevention of juvenile delinquency.
The training will take place in three stages. As part of the first training course, children will be taught how to establish friendships with peers and strengthen team spirit. They also learn what an offense is and what legal consequences it entails. Also, specialists will give students advice on choosing a profession, they will talk about the work of law enforcement and judicial bodies.
The second cycle of lectures will take place during the winter holidays and will be devoted to practical application of legal knowledge. The final stage of the training “My profession – legislator” will be held in spring.
According to the prosecutor of the town Bulat Dembaev, a special training program designed by scientists and teachers of the Academy, aimed at strengthening the fight against juvenile delinquency and is designed to help students to improve their legal literacy, to acquire the necessary knowledge about the responsibility for the wrongful act.
