A two-day training seminar on “The role of information and communication technologies in the context of regional and international security” was opened on the basis of the Regional Hub on Countering Global Threats with the support of the OSCE Program Office in Astana.
Experts from the Netherlands, Germany, Georgia, Italy, Switzerland, as well as domestic experts from the Ministry of Defence and Aerospace Industry, the Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilev are taking part in its work.
The agenda of the seminar includes a wide range of issues of increasing the effectiveness of countering cybercrime, ensuring information security, protecting the state from potential threats.
Experts will share their experience in the field of information and cybersecurity. In particular, such important topics as the analysis of the latest threats in the Internet and their elimination, the planning of major incidents in the field of cybersecurity, the implementation of practical measures to counter cyber threats at the national and regional levels will be discussed.
Noting the importance of the training event for enhancing stability and security in the region, the Head of the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies Nail Akhmetzakirov expressed confidence that the training will be an effective platform for developing a unified strategy and constructive interstate dialogue in this area.
