An extended meeting of the Academic Council of the Law Enforcement Academy was held where the results of the first half had been discussed.
In the meeting took part the Deputy Prosecutor General Bulat Dembaev, as well as heads and representatives of structural divisions of the Prosecutor General.
The participants of the meeting analyzed the results of scientific and educational activities, discussed problematic issues, identified challenges for the future.
Thus, the significant results of the work recognized the introduction of a profile master’s degree, thematic refresher courses, new training IT-programs, the expansion of distance learning. The importance of including the repository of the Academy in the international register, as well as the journal “Bulletin of the Academy” in the list of publications recommended for publication of scientific activities.
B. Dembaev in his speech noted the special role and responsibility of the Academy in the improvement of personnel potential: “The level of preparedness of the staff and the effectiveness of law enforcement in General is depended on the results of its work. Therefore, the scientific and educational process should be primarily aimed at the implementation of the practice needs.”
The meeting touched upon a number of problematic issues that need to be addressed. In particular, the need to expand the training grounds, improve the material and technical base, strengthen the practice-oriented research.
As a result of the meeting, the Rector of the Academy Yergali Merzadinov set the team priorities for the coming period.
The priority ones are the introduction of the Institute of initial vocational training, obtaining the status of the basic organization of the CIS for the training of prosecutors and investigators, the organization of foreign internships under the program “Bolashak”, the introduction of distance postgraduate education.
