How can you recognise cyberbullying? What consequences can vaping and gambling lead to? And why does it matter to know your rights and obligations? Senior pupils of the Dara school in Kosshy received answers to these and other questions from master’s students of the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies under the Prosecutor General’s Office.
The meeting was held as part of the Kukyktyk Komek” project and the implementation of the “Law and Order” concept. The master’s students discussed with pupils in grades 9 to 11 the legal issues most relevant to teenagers.
Separate sessions were devoted to the prevention of drug addiction and gambling addiction, to bullying and cyberbullying, and to safe conduct in the digital environment. Pupils were also briefed on the legal consequences of vaping by minors, the requirements of the law on children being outdoors at night, and the key provisions of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The discussion took the form of an open dialogue. The master’s students worked through specific real-life situations together with the pupils, answered their questions and offered practical advice.
For the Academy’s master’s students, taking part in the project was an opportunity to apply their professional knowledge in practice and to work directly with a young audience. For the pupils, the meeting was a chance to get answers to the legal questions they encounter in everyday life.
