Bolatbek Musapirov, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Criminal Prosecution at the Institute of Professional Training of the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies, took part in the 4th International Scientific and Practical Conference «Combating Transnational Cybercrime: Science, Practice, Education and Forensic Expertise».
The conference took place on 27 May 2026 at the A.Y. Sukharev Moscow Academy of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation and brought together representatives of law enforcement agencies, the academic community and educational organisations from CIS countries.
Participants discussed modern approaches to combating cybercrime, investigating remote crimes, and issues relating to forensic support for digital investigations.
Bolatbek Musapirov delivered a presentation entitled «Illegal Trade in Cryptocurrency», focusing on current aspects of detecting and investigating cross-border cybercrimes committed using cryptocurrencies. Particular attention was paid to the de-anonymisation of offenders, the preservation of digital evidence and the improvement of mechanisms for international cooperation.
