The Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies under the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Turkish Cooperation and Co-ordination Agency (TİKA) discussed new areas of cooperation in the field of training for law enforcement agencies.
The meeting was attended by the Academy’s Rector, Nurgalym Abdirov; the programme coordinator at TİKA’s office in Kazakhstan, Fuat Erdogmus; the deputy head of the Personnel Department at the General Directorate of Security of the Turkish Ministry of the Interior, Fatih Kizilkaya; and the coordinator of TİKA’s international police education project, Islam Ismail.
The parties discussed prospects for expanding joint educational programmes. It was noted that an advanced training course on «Human Resources Management» for staff of the personnel departments of Kazakhstan’s law enforcement agencies is taking place at the Academy from 8 to 12 June.
Particular attention was paid to combating cybercrime, exchanging experience with the National Cybercrime Response Centre (USOM) and the Financial Crimes Investigation Board (MASAK), as well as developing new joint training programmes for staff of the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
The implementation of these initiatives will contribute to the further strengthening of Kazakhstani-Turkish cooperation in the field of law enforcement.
