A training and practical workshop and the «ProLab» regional reference laboratory have been opened at the Shymkent City Prosecutor’s Office.
The project has been implemented as part of the Year of Improving the Quality of Departmental Education and aims to develop scientific support for law enforcement activities, as well as to strengthen the link between science and practice.
The opening ceremony was attended by N. M. Abdirov, Rector of the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies under the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Zh. N. Nurgali, Acting Prosecutor of Shymkent.
The laboratory will serve as a platform for conducting applied research, discussing current issues facing the prosecutor’s office and developing practical recommendations. It will also serve as a venue for collaboration between staff of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, academics, experts, and master’s and doctoral students.
On the opening day, the first working discussion took place, during which the results of the «Colourful Route» project – aimed at preventing suicide and offences among minors – were presented, along with a teaching guide on legal education.
