The Law Enforcement Academy under the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan has concluded a professional development course entitled «Cybersecurity in the Prosecutor’s Office: Legal Framework and Organisational Solutions».
The training was attended by staff from the prosecution service responsible for ensuring information security and protecting the department’s information resources.
The course covered topical issues relating to regulatory and legal frameworks in the field of cybersecurity, the organisation of information system protection, ensuring the security of personal data, managing cyber threats and responding to information security incidents.
Particular attention was paid to the practical component of the training. Course participants took part in field sessions at the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Centre for the Analysis and Investigation of Cyberattacks, where they familiarised themselves with modern approaches to the protection of information resources, the activities of relevant departments and practices for countering cyber threats.
As part of the course, participants studied current trends in the development of cyber threats, issues relating to ensuring the resilience of information systems, and mechanisms for preventing and minimising the consequences of information security incidents.
The knowledge and practical skills gained will help to improve the effectiveness of efforts to protect the information resources of the public prosecutor’s office and to strengthen the department’s information security as a whole.
At the end of the training, the course participants were awarded certificates of professional development.
