On 25 June 2026, as part of the Year for Improving the Quality of In-Service Training at the Office of the Prosecutor General, a presentation was held on the results of an inter-agency research study on the topic: ‘The investigation of offences committed using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs)’.
The research was conducted on the basis of a comprehensive analysis of national legislation and law enforcement practice, as well as a study of best international practice in investigating crimes committed using UAVs.
The study examined current trends in the development of unmanned technologies, methods of their unlawful use, and the specific features of detecting and investigating criminal offences.
Based on the findings of the study, scientifically grounded proposals and practical methodological recommendations were formulated, aimed at enhancing the professional performance of prosecutors, investigators, preliminary enquiry officers and operational staff.
