On July 8-9, 2026, a training on the basics of profiling was held at the Academy of Law Enforcement for employees of the Prosecutor’s Office of the city of Astana.
The program was aimed at developing basic knowledge and practical skills in applying behavioral analysis to identify signs of potentially dangerous behavior and timely prevent possible threats.
During the training, participants explored the possibilities of using profiling in ensuring the anti-terrorist security of vulnerable facilities, examined behavioral indicators indicating the preparation of illegal actions, and applied their knowledge to practical cases. Special attention was given to common mistakes that arise during behavioral analysis.
This training was the first step in training specialists in this field. In the future, it is planned to expand the training program with the participation of domestic and foreign experts and the involvement of employees from regional divisions of the Prosecutor’s Office.
