As part of the implementation of the Joint Cooperation Plan of the Association of Military and Specialised Educational Institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, an online lecture was held on the topic: «Illicit trafficking of cryptocurrencies: current challenges and countermeasures».
The lecture was delivered by B.T. Musapirov, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Criminal Prosecution of the Institute of Professional Education. It highlighted current trends in the development of digital assets and the risks of their use in unlawful activities. Particular attention was paid to the detection and investigation of crimes related to the illegal circulation of cryptocurrency, including money laundering schemes, the use of drop boxes and anonymous tools.
The event was attended by representatives of universities that are members of the Association, as well as staff and students from law enforcement and specialised state agencies.
The aim of such lectures is to strengthen inter-agency cooperation in the field of digital forensics and cybersecurity, which are priority areas for joint work by educational organisations in 2026.
