The Interdepartmental Research Institute of the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies under the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan has completed a study on the protection of individuals who report corruption, taking into account the analysis of best international practices.
The Republic of Kazakhstan has established certain elements of the relevant system, but the fragmented legal regulation and insufficient level of confidentiality guarantees still limit its effectiveness.
Based on the results of the study, a set of proposals has been developed to:
- strengthen legal guarantees for the protection of заявителей;
- introduce digital solutions to ensure anonymity and security;
- develop institutional mechanisms to support individuals who report corruption.
According to the developers, the implementation of these measures will enhance the effectiveness of anti-corruption policies and strengthen public trust in government institutions.
