At the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies under the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the national training «Countering Terrorism through OSINT: Ensuring Compliance with the Rule of Law» has been completed. The training was conducted within the framework of the European Union project «Countering Organized Crime and Terrorism» (EU‑ACT).

Prosecutors and police officers took part in the program. Over the course of five days, Spanish experts presented practical approaches to digital investigations and the use of open‑source information in law enforcement work. The curriculum covered OSINT methodology, data protection, social media intelligence (SOCMINT), geospatial intelligence (GEOINT), cybersecurity issues, and the application of artificial intelligence tools.

Participants practiced skills in searching, verifying, and systematizing information from open sources, and received recommendations on respecting human rights and the rule of law when working with digital materials. The experience gained strengthened the analytical capabilities of specialists and enhanced their readiness to respond to modern threats.
